Kendal	The attractive Medieval town of Kendal has a host of amenities including a large leisure centre, theatre, cinemas, museums, shops, restaurants, a dry ski slope, indoor climbing wall and 18 hole golf course.
Windermere and Bowness	Lake cruises, World of Beatrix Potter, Brockhole National Parks Visitor Centre, Holehird-Horticultural Society Gardens, Pitch and Put.
Newby Bridge	Lakeside, steam trains, Aquarium of the Lakes, Stott Park Bobbin Mill, Fell Foot Park.

Silverdale and Arnside	Superb coastal walks, Wolf house, Gallery crafts and coffee shop, views across the bay, Leighton Moss RSPB bird reserve and hides.
